Privacy Policy

Last Olive Studio ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This page explains what information this website collects, why, and what rights you have over it.

Last Olive Studio is an independent web design and development practice run by Joana Daniela Oliveira, based in Portugal. For any question about this policy or your data, write to hi@last-olive.studio.

If you email us. If you write to hi@last-olive.studio, we receive your email address, name (if you give it), and whatever you tell us. We use this only to reply to you and, if it leads to work together, to manage that relationship. We keep these emails for as long as reasonably needed for that purpose, then delete them.

Technical data from visiting the site. Like any website, ours runs through hosting infrastructure (Webflow, and Webflow's underlying network provider, Cloudflare) that automatically logs standard technical information — your IP address, browser type, and pages viewed — for security and to keep the site running. We don't access this data for tracking or marketing; it's handled by our hosting provider under their own privacy practices.

Fonts. This site loads typefaces from Adobe Fonts (Typekit). Loading a font from their servers means your browser makes a request to Adobe, which involves your IP address. Adobe's own privacy policy governs that.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand, in aggregate, how many people visit the site and which pages they read — never who any individual visitor is. Google Analytics sets cookies (typically named _ga and _ga_*) that assign your browser a random ID, and processes data such as your approximate location (derived from IP address, which is truncated), device and browser type, and the pages you visit. This data is transferred to Google LLC in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. We only load Google Analytics after you accept the cookie notice on this site. If you decline, no analytics script runs and no analytics cookies are set. You can withdraw consent at any time — see "Cookie preferences" below. We keep Google Analytics data for 14 months, after which Google automatically deletes it (Google's standard retention setting).

What we don't collect. We don't run advertising or retargeting cookies, and we don't have a contact form that stores submissions in a database — email goes straight to our inbox. If that changes, we'll update this policy.

This site uses one category of non-essential cookie: analytics (Google Analytics), described above. These are only set if you click "Accept" on the cookie notice. No cookies are set before that choice, and none are set at all if you decline.

Cookie preferences. You can change your mind at any time. [Link or button to be added once the site is live — e.g. a "Cookie preferences" link in the footer that reopens the notice.]

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict how we use it — including withdrawing analytics consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email hi@last-olive.studio. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with Portugal's data protection authority, the CNPD (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados), at www.cnpd.pt.

If what this site collects changes, this page will change with it. The date at the top always reflects the latest version.
